Three strategies to craft, nurture and sustain a meaningful employee experience

Three strategies to craft, nurture and sustain a meaningful employee experience.

According to the latest "Achievers Workforce Institute’s fifth annual Engagement and Retention Report", the people challenges being faced by organisations across the Globe have never been greater.

"It is Hero's Work, not for the faint-hearted", the report cites.

It is purpose-led work: Placing people at the heart of company's growth, creating experiences people connect with, and authentically wish to be part of.

Cultures of recognition & belonging yield greater performance, and are sustainable as they are intentional about managing change: They obtain a lasting, measurable return for investing in the their people.

Some of the report's key findings show that: 👇

🔷 Less than a quarter (23%) of employees experience their place of work as "home in one’s place"; They feel they do not belong.

🔷 Communication and connection, which sit at the heart of a human-centric culture, have deteriorated since the start of the pandemic (48%).

🔷Only 20% of employees appear to be highly engaged.

🔷 Recognition and feedback account for 52% of talent retention, as commitment towards one's job is directly linked to the feeling of being meaningfully supported and valued.

❓How to sustain organisation's transformation at scale?

⭐️ By leveraging recognition as a strategic need, to drive feelings of inclusion, belonging, added and shared value: This can be achieved at human-level, by encouraging and creating meaningful and authentic on-time conversations, and tapping into tools/resources that enable nimble data capturing for analysis and action.

⭐️ By thinking "holistically": A positive people experience compounds for all driving forces operating within the complex company's eco-system: Establish support networks at organisational, managerial and team level to strengthen engagement and motivation along the people's journey.

⭐️By fostering innovation and creativity, and harnessing the power of technology to create bridges that connect people in-person and remotely.

⭐️ By building a culture of "wellbeing" that asks, listens, and meets people where they are at, nurturing a trust-based working environment that energises and empowers people.

⭐️By strengthening communication through real time interactions, taking the pulse of the organisation at regular intervals, and turning findings into actionable insight.
