I love rituals. We need 'feel-good' daily habits to boost our wellbeing. Whether is going for a walk or meditate to stimulate serotonin, the 'mood stabiliser' hormone, which improves sleep, reduces anxiety and increases happiness; or, indulging in a healthy dark chocolate bar to boost endorphins levels which counteract stress; or 'topping up' in oxytocin, the 'bonding or trust hormone' that comes into play when we connect with people; or stimulating dopamine levels, the 'feel good' hormone, that our brain naturally produces when we complete a task or listen to upbeat music as reward response; 👉 Rituals determine the quality of our daily living. 🌟Taking care of our mind is the first step towards building a sustainable wellbeing practice that brings long lasting positive effects at physical and emotional level. And so, finding time for reflection is equally important. Besides journaling, we could even go as far as drawing or creating our own 'Soulful Living Compass' card, just like the one shown in the picture. The idea is to connect within, engaging with a reflection on-theme, just as the card inspires us to do; alternatively, the card can be seen as an internal map; we can tap into it to navigate our goals, values and beliefs. The 'Art of Soulful Living' invites daily wellbeing practices that nourish the mind, soothe the heart and elevate our physical states.🌱 Picking up one intention at a time, we can anchor our mind to it, strengthening the connection with our heart and the vast array of positive emotions that are contributory factors to our wellbeing. Here's what you can do to aid the practice: ✳️ Find a moment to express positivity with your thoughts; ✳️ Focus on one intention at a time; it could be 'gratitude' or 'authenticity' or 'mindfulness' or 'purpose'; being inspired to be ! ✳️ Visualise or jot down on paper to strengthen the reflection so that the mind is positively stimulated; ✳️ Anchor the reflection to a powerful 'mantra' to enhance the connection within; choose an affirmation that empowers you day by day; ✳️ Reinforce the intention with an exercise that motivates you; for instance, if you choose 'gratitude', you may want to journal all things you are grateful for, or tune into a podcast that supports you in cultivating gratitude as a daily habit; ✳️ See the thought of gratitude within yourself: What feelings does evoke? How does your physical body respond to them? How do you see yourself when you feel grateful ? ✳️ Connect the emotion to a phrase or quote you love, and recite it aloud whenever you want to bring that emotional state back in motion; this practice will help the mind to 'wire in' the stimulus and, with iteration, returning to it again and again, it will become a new self-empowering daily habit. ❓️Which inner state does resonate with you this week? #wellbeing #mindfulness #selfawareness #positivityhacks #healthyhabits #happiness #coaching #selfcare #mindfulliving #growth #mindset
