How to become a Conscious Leader

"Self-awareness": The core dimension of conscious leadership. During my human potential coaching training journey, we explored (amongst the many) how developing self-awareness can bring to light new insight, originating breakthroughs and creating sustainable transformation, at individual, team and organisational level.

❓ How enhancing individual and collective self-awareness can sustain organisational success and growth. The journey starts within the realm of the "self" or "being". "Self-leadership" is the mastery of oneself, of the human dimension that tends to be silenced and taken for granted by the "doing", or the natural human tendency to focus mostly on goals, to deliver, to execute, with very little regard for what is actually happening "beyond the visible", sort of speak. When we listen to, facilitating dialogue with individuals, teams and leaders, channelling connection through courageous conversations, authenticity and empathy, we are allowing the "inner voice" to come to light, elevating self-awareness, individually and collectively. The result? Direction and the resulting action, or the "doing" modality, will take care of itself as people will feel more engaged, motivated, inspired, valued and rewarded. Shifting towards higher states of self-awareness or Being, requires to sit with the discomfort that may arise as the mind is invited to open up to new perspectives, views and ideas. "There is no comfort in the growth zone, and no growth in the comfort zone." Jocko Willink Higher levels of self-awareness result in visible meaningful connection, innovation and creativity as enablers towards greater value creation and shared-purpose. Whether it is internal or individual (insight-based) or external (societal, environmental, interpersonal), the level of "being-awareness" is central to unlocking human potential across the company's eco-system. In a trust-based work environment, openness, authenticity, curiosity and safety flourish. As the old layers shed, inner motivators surface, weaving in with meaning and purpose. enhancing one's ability for introspection, for seeing opportunities through challenges, and for individuals to be "seen". It can be a transformative journey in which courage and compassion support conscious choice in leading others to higher states of being or self-awareness, to let go of unserving paradigms whilst embracing growth as a journey in its own right. When self-awareness or consciousness is elevated at collective level, the organisation operates from a renewed dimension of empowerment, in an enablement-led culture that comes from a deep appreciation for what intrinsically motivates people, knowing how to harness their natural talents and gifts. #leadership #selfawareness #growth #change #selfleadership #organisationaldevelopment #coaching #humanpotential #mindset #values #purpose #transformation #innovation
